I began learning Tai Chi a few months ago as an exercise to maintain good health and to ameliorate the many inevitable ills of aging. I was fortunate to find Mr. Zak Allen Zaklad, an MIT math-major and former management consultant who teaches Tai Chi for the communities in Philadelphia and Mt. Airy, for free.
To honor Zak's indefatigable efforts and his kindness, I've invented "Tai Chi Chicken" to put a few basic concepts of Tai Chi, which is grounded in the Chinese ancient philosopher of Taoism. Please free free to download the recipe (see Microsoft Word file below.) I hope you'll find the dish delicious and delightful to make. Mr. Zaklad's selfless efforts to help people learn Tai Chi have inspired this dish and made it possible. I invented it today.
This new dish, as it looks, is based on an old "Ham Chicken" recipe that has been proven to be a crowd pleaser for decades in our home. I add the Tai Chi spirit and look to it. Hence the new name. Enjoy!
